Travel Data Sought
August 31, 2010 — To help with the creation of a Preferred Bus Strategy for future needs, the City of Mountlake Terrace is asking residents to take a brief survey about their local travel methods.
Council Approves Sale of Utility Revenue Bonds
August 27, 2010 — On Monday, August 16, the City of Mountlake Terrace entered the bond market with a $6.25 million water and sewer revenue bond, the proceeds of which will be used to fund construction projects for the water, sewer and storm water utilities over the next two years.

Mountlake Terrace Second Quarter 2010 Financial Report
August 27, 2010 — On Monday, August 16, City Manager John Caulfield provided a report to the City Council detailing the city’s 2010 finances and performance measures from January 1 through June 30. The second quarter of 2010 was another successful quarter for the City of Mountlake Terrace, both from an operational and financial perspective reflecting its sound financial and management policies. Overall, most financial projections are tracking consistent with the 2010 budget and the six-year financial forecast.
Patty Forte Linna Exhibit Opens September 1
August 23, 2010 — The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission presents the Patty Forte Linna Exhibit at the City of Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Avenue West. Patty Forte Linna finds unique beauty in painting people that are alone in their thoughts, even in a crowd. She also enjoys painting urban landscapes.
Sustainability Goals Being Met
August 20, 2010 — Progress on implementing the Mountlake Terrace Sustainability Strategy was reported to the City Council at a July 19 meeting.
Update: Police Request Public's Help in Locating Hit and Run Driver
August 11, 2010 — On Tuesday, July 13, a pedestrian was struck by a hit and run driver while walking his dog along the south side of 238th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. The victim sustained serious injuries. The City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding the driver.
City Awarded Electric Vehicle Stations
August 10, 2010 — The City of Mountlake Terrace has been awarded ten electric vehicle charging stations to be installed upon approval by Community Transit at the Transit Center, near I-5 and 236th Street SW.
Neighborhood Names Sought
August 10, 2010 — Ideas for re-naming two neighborhood districts (now called “East Terrace” and “North Terrace”) in Mountlake Terrace are being sought. The effort follows up on a Planning Commission suggestion to consider more unique or place-based names for these two neighborhoods.
Mountlake Terrace Receives High Credit Rating
August 5, 2010 — Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has assigned its ‘AA’ Rating to the city’s 2010 series water and sewer revenue bonds. In a report issued on August 4, S&P assigned the city a ‘AA’ rating with a stable outlook, noting that the city has sound financial policies and practices, including quarterly financial performance reviews and a six-year forecasting model. The city’s first-ever rating by Standard & Poor’s, a ‘AA’ rating indicates the city is a quality borrower with very strong capacity to meet its financial commitments.

August 5, 2010 — The Mountlake Terrace Farmers Market offers locally grown farm fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, vinegars, ice cream, kettle corn, plants and other local farm products on Thursdays from 3-7 p.m.
