Dog Training Classes

| Basic
Dog Obedience |

For
dogs 5 months and over. Commands taught in this class include:
walking on leash, sit, down, stand, stay and come. Behavior
problems & proper equipment are discussed. Dogs must have
current DHLPP, Corona, and rabies shots. For first night bring
the dog on a six foot leash, rug, & treats for dogs.
Classes
meet Mondays from 7:30-8:30 pm.

Intermediate
Dog Obedience
|
|
|
To enroll
must have completed basic dog obedience. Builds
on the foundation started in basic obedience and
prepares participants for the American Kennel Club
Canine Good Citizen test given on the last night of
class. Students progress at
their own pace.

meet Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm

| Puppygarten |
|
 |
For
puppies from 8 to 16 weeks. Socialization and basic obedience
(sit, down, stay, come) is covered. Housebreaking and other
basic behavior problems are discussed. On the last day of
class puppies will have the opportunity to take the American
Kennel Club Puppy STAR Program test.
Puppies must have current
vaccinations . First night bring the puppy with a buckle collar,
6-foot leash and food treats.

Dog First Aid
|
|
|
The
goals of the Dog First Aid are to teach you how to be prepared
for emergencies that involve a dog and how to protect yourself
and the animal from further harm, injury or suffering during
emergencies by teaching prompt, effective first aid actions
and care. Dog “first aid” should not be confused with
“pet care.” Each
participant will receive the American Red Cross “Dog First
Aid” Manual.

a quarter on a Tuesday from 6:30-9:00pm.
