The City of Mountlake Terrace is located approximately 15 miles north of downtown Seattle and is located in southern Snohomish County. The City has an excellent parks and recreation infrastructure and provides quality living in a family-oriented environment. The Mountlake Terrace Police Department is committed to providing service to the public with the utmost integrity. We are committed to the community policing philosophy and strive to enlist active community participation. The department operates with a staff of 43 employees with 31 commissioned staff to cover a population of 20,930 residents (2008 estimate from State OFM). Staffing includes Patrol, Detectives, Traffic, K9, SWAT, Narcotics, and a School Resource Officer.
