The City
of Mountlake Terrace welcomes sustainable economic development
and is pleased to work with businesses
that are interested in locating to or remaining in the City.
The City has adopted
plans and strategies for economic development, including the Economic Vitality Strategy, Comprehensive Plan, the Town Center Plan, the Melody Hill Subarea Plan, and the Economic Vitality Element from the Comprehensive Plan. A Clean Technology Opportunity Assessment was
completed in 2008.
A report on economic development progress was presented to the City Council on October 5, 2009.
The Town Center Plan, adopted in February 2007, is intended to revitalize the City's downtown, generally located between 228th Street SW on the north, 244th Street SW on the south, 55th Avenue W on the east, and 58th Avenue W on the west. Above is a graphic rendition of the Town Center's future community gathering place.
