The seven-member Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council about community development issues, especially those affecting future land use and growth. Responsibilities include making recommendations on the City's Comprehensive Plan and development code updates.

To apply to serve on the Planning Commission, complete an application and submit it to the City Clerk, Virginia Olsen, at Mountlake Terrace Interim City Hall, 6100 219th Street SW, Suite 200, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043. Applicants for Planning Commission should be knowledgeable about planning and development issues.
